Wicked Weekend: 5 Spooky Events to Check Out While You’re in VA Beach for the Wicked 10K
With the largest Halloween race and party in Hampton Roads happening this weekend, we can’t help but get into the Halloween spirit! The Anthem Wicked 10k takes place on Saturday, October 28th on the Virginia Beach Boardwalk, but the party doesn’t stop there! While you’re in Va Beach for the Wicked 10k, be sure to check out these 5 family-friendly events happening around town!
Celebrate All Hallows’ Eve at Hunt Club Farm! With Virginia Beach’s largest pumpkin patch, farm-tour hayrides, petting farm, inflatable amusement r, and pony rides, there is something for everyone. Hours are from 10AM-6PM all weekend long.
Join the Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Center for its Monster Madness event, which will include games and activities for the kids, and encounters with creepy creatures- that’s if you dare to be brave enough for the Creepy Trail. Be sure to catch the screening of Room on the Broom, a half hour animated film based on the children’s picture about a magical tale of friendship and family! Hours are from 6PM-9PM on Friday and 1PM-4PM on Saturday and Sunday.
Town Center of Virginia Beach hosts the annual Halloween Town & Treat with activities for families at Fountain Plaza. Wear your Halloween costumes and participate in pumpkin decorating, arts & crafts, and balloon art. There will be Candy Stations all around Town Center (while supplies last). Hours are from 12PM-4PM on Saturday.
Dress up in your best Halloween costume and Treat the kids to a fun Trunk or Treat at Landstown Commons Shopping Center. With classic cars and trucks, Halloween music, and candy, you won’t want to miss this event. Hours are from 3PM-7PM on Saturday.
Head over to Great Neck Parks with the kids and pets for a ghoulishly good time. Put on your best costumes for fun family fun fitness activities, crafts, inflatables, and more. The whole family (including pets) will have a blast. Hours are from 10AM-1PM on Saturday.
