We hope your New Year is already off to an amazing start! We couldn’t wait another minute to share with you all the new things that 2016 is bringing to the beach. From new restaurants and attractions to revived historic buildings, we are excited to share all of our upcoming developments with you!

Our coastal city is receiving tons of new flavor with our very first farmer-driven restaurant, Commune, a sustainable eatery, bakery and café, and with the opening of Green Flash Brewery, which introduces our craft beer scene to a San Diego twist. You can also continue to dine waders deep in the Lynnhaven River during Pleasure House Oysters’ Chef’s Table Tours, where you’ll enjoy lunch or dinner standing at a table hoisted by oyster cages, all while watching the sun set.

Our colorful and inspiring ViBe Creative District has now blossomed into blocks of incredibly delicious homegrown cuisine, stunning art and design and one-of-a-kind coffee at the Resort Beach, showcasing some of our most talented artisans.

With the new also comes a revitalization of our past, thanks to our historic and storied property, the Cavalier Hotel, which is being brought to life as it undergoes an extensive $70-million renovation. Opening its doors as a distinguished member of Marriott’s Autograph Collection, the hotel property is receiving an “extreme makeover,” including the addition of a luxurious spa, fine-dining restaurants, a bourbon distillery and more.

Challenge your friends and family to an addictive game of Topgolf at its brand-new location in Virginia Beach. With no experience needed, you have to at least give it a shot! The fun continues to pop up across the city with JT’s Camp Grom, the only camp of its kind on the East Coast, which will transform 70-acres into a beach-style adventure camp designed for people of all physical abilities, when it opens later in the year.

We look forward to welcoming you this year and sharing these new adventures with you. Be sure to stay connected to receive all of the latest updates on how we live the life. Happy travels!
